Nevada Property Tax Revolt:

I am the web master and a board member of the Incline Village and Crystal Bay Property Tax Revolt effort. I am for keeping our property taxes as low as possible. I am for keeping our local fire district's budget as cost effective as possible, but at the time want a fire district that supports the needs of our local village.

Fire Safe Council:

I am a member of the The Nevada Fire Safe Council and the local Incline Village Fire Safe Council. In April I attended the state wide Fire Safe Council meeting in Reno. During that meeting I met the director of the RimForest, CA Fire Safe Council. In early May, my wife (Sally) and I toured the Big Bear Lake to Lake Arrowhead area in Southern California. It was eye opening to see the damage the 2003 Old Fire caused. See the Photos page for photos I took of the fire damage.

Neighbors for Defensible Space II:

I am also a member of the local Neighbors for Defensible Space II. I have attended many meetings and I am the block leader for the Mill Creek area. I did booth duty all day at the June 6th Fire District Open House. The main goal of the Defensible Space II council is to get all the Incline Village and Crystal Bay neighborhood houses to conform to the new Fire District's defensible space evaluations.

Fire District's Board Meeting & Other Meetings:

In the last two years I have frequently attended the monthly Fire Board meetings as well as other Fire District meetings. The main purpose for attending these meetings was (and still is) to get myself up to speed on the functioning of our Fire District's activities.

I have also attended many IVGID Board of Trustee meetings in the past 4 years. I was approached 2 years ago to run for an IVGID BOT position. I feel I could contribute more on the fire board, due to my engineering background, my marketing background and my love for all forests and mountains and the recreational opportunity they provide.
