  1. I moved to Filer in the 8th grade (I think) and attended the Jr. High and 1/2 of my sophomore year before moving to Nampa, so I don't have a lot of memories. One thing I remember, however, is how well Karen Kirkman could play the piano. I used to love to listen to her play when I visited her house. I liked Mr. Glassinger's geometry class and as I remember, he was a fun teacher. Also remember Mr. Kious for some reason. He reminded me of Ernie Kovacs. I liked to go to Helen Kauffman's house because we both had a crush on Ricky Nelson and it seems like she had a lot of his music, or posters of him, or both. It seems like Marge Hall, Carol Neale, and I were pretty good friends, too. Penny Bernardi used to paint each of her fingernails a different color and I was so fascinated by that. She had such pretty nails... painted or unpainted.
  2. Certainly time spent with our 4 grandsons have been some of the more special times. I know we've had many special things happen in the past 40 years but I am drawing a blank right now.

  4. I retired from a medical clinic about 4 years ago and am starting to feel like I would like to get a part-time job again. One of my favorite things is home decorating. Also I love flower gardening, entertaining, and working in my yard... I even enjoy cooking although I don't do a lot of it anymore for just the two of us.
  5. Two Daughters: Lyndee, 38 & Angela, 34, Plus four Grandsons: Andrew, 17, Marc, 13, Garrett, 9, & Parker, 5 (two from each daughter).

  1. I remember the hayride to "the Falls", all the sock-hops, and Mrs. Gaumer who was a good teacher.
  2. I’ve enjoyed my children and grandchildren so much, and have enjoyed traveling with my husband, Fred.
  3. Make a million dollars!
  4. I operate my own business in my home -- a Family Care Home. I love gardening and enjoy making stained glass, quilting, scrap booking, and crocheting.
  5. I have 3 sons, 3 grandsons, and 2 granddaughters, all of which I enjoy tremendously!

Nelda Sligar

  1. My best friend in Jr. High was Sharon Herrett. We had many great times together. We both survived my giving her a haircut--just barely--she had no bangs when I was finished! I graduated from TFHS, wishing I was at FHS.
  2. Raising my family has been my favorite time in life. I’ve raised kids all my life--so it is a real change to have my youngest out of the nest. She was married in January this year!

  4. I’m the head cook at the Twin Falls Senior Center. It’s a fun job! So many nice “old” people out there. I do enjoy quilting, sewing, gardening and decorating. And the grandchildren are a real joy! I also do hair for elderly people who are homebound.
