  1. I remember Mrs. Rowland in the library, Mr. Reichers typing class and the old car he always drove to school, and the explosion in chemistry class. I caught a baseball out on the football field during P.E. and it smashed the ring on my finger. I remember helping make the Wildcat mascot head out of wire and paper mache. Every day when I walked through the corridor that separated the Jr. High and High School, where all the upper class boys would be lined up on each side to watch the girls and vise versa. I have lots of memories of my years in school, which I’ll always cherish.

  2. I’ve enjoyed EVERY day; some more than others. I’ve enjoyed traveling, and recently my husband and I have made a transition from being farmers to him “punching in a time clock”, which has been quite an experience. We’re in the process of moving from Eden to Payette where my husband is working.

  3. Enjoy tomorrow!

  4. I don’t have a paying job, but have plenty of work to do. I enjoy gardening, fishing, and the great out-of-doors.

  5. I have 2 boys and 2 girls who have blessed me with six grandchildren. I also have 4 step grandchildren.

  1. As my 3 children have graduated from their high school with 500+ in their classes, I am very thankful I graduated from a class of 65. It was easy to walk down the halls and be able to speak to each and every one and know who they were. I enjoyed belonging to the band which allowed me to participate in all the school activities with them. Being part of the Yearbook staff was something even the “quiet girl” could do and I found it most rewarding.

  2. I raised 3 great successful kids while being a working mom and I married my best friend two years ago after loosing my first husband to a heart attack. The most important lesson I have learned in the last 40 years is that “It is not important in what one looks like on the outside, but what is on the inside is what makes us beautiful people.

  3. Win the Idaho lottery when it gets to 50 million. Ten million for each of us.

  4. I have made a career for myself in the Insurance Industry. After graduating from Business College in Salt Lake, I got my first job in an insurance company and I’m still in Salt Lake and still in the Insurance Industry. I have worked all phases of insurance and at the present time, I am about to complete my 15th year with Workers Compensation Fund of Utah as a Senior Claims Supervisor. My husband, Mark, and I both are very active in the Fraternal Order of Eagles. We do a lot of volunteer work for this organization and travel all over to do local, state and national activities. I held the title of Madam President of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Eagles in 2000-2001. We have been to numerous states with this organization and are planning a trip to Buffalo, New York in August. While there we plan to visit two of the major attractions, Niagara Falls from the Canadian side, and the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima. We took a cruise to Alaska for our honeymoon and are planning a trip to Mexico for Christmas 2003. Several years ago, I did a Hawaii trip with my parents.

  5. I have two favorite sons, my oldest, Kurt, 32, and my youngest, Tracy, 25. My favorite daughter, who falls in the middle of the boys, Mary Angela, is 28. Angie has given me two of the most precious grandsons ever. They are Hunter, 3, and Gage, 10 months. They are my pride and joy as you can tell. In my marriage to Mark, I also gained another son, Vic, 24, and a daughter Sarena, 21, and 4 more grandchildren. I am still waiting for my boys to figure out that Grandmas need as many grandchildren as they can get, but they do need to get married first.

  1. I remember some about high school. Hanging around with David Brydle and Steve Eastman and cruising Main Street in Twin Falls on Saturday night.

  2. My favorite time over the past forty years has been many and varied. Marriage to my wife Vicki overlooking the Colorado River is very memorable. Watching my kids grow up, go to college and get married has also been very rewarding.

  3. The one thing that I have yet to do in my life is to watch my grandkids grow up.

  4. Present occupation and for the past 33 years is veterinarian-owner of Nile Point Veterinary Hospital in Bakersfield California.

  1. The what and who that I remember most are Calculus class and Ted Glassinger. Kay and I were the only females in the class--it was a tough crowd with Ted doing his best grin at most of the guys' antics.

  2. The most favorite times are the births of my two daughters. We have made some wonderful memories over the years and since they are both in the San Diego area, I get to see them often.

  3. One goal I have not accomplished is going on a Habitat for Humanity build somewhere exotic(?). Not sure they have many projects in exotic places, but at least please let it have cold weather.

  4. Started my own little business a few years ago sewing for interior designers--fancy pillows and that sort of thing. I love beautiful fabric, so It keeps me busy and puts a little in the pocket. Do some gardening which is difficult in Wickenburg, having to foil the little adorable little bunnies, the deranged javelinas and the graceful bounding deer. Love to cook so do a lot of entertaining.

  5. Already answered this one. Kim is 32 and Courtney is 25. Both single and no prospects in the wings so I may be very old by the time I acquire a grandchild.

  1. I remember most playing all kinds of sports and chasing the girls 2 grades younger than us. I don't think that the teachers were as bad as I once thought. I actually something and did quite well in college.

  2. Having my lovely wife Mary whom you all know as Mary Kelley from 2 grades back, my 3 wonderful daughters and my current crop of 4 grandkids. My girls with kids all live in the Boise area and my youngest daughter is an advertising executive in Portland. My other two daughters are stay at home moms. I have very much enjoyed backpacking in the Sierra Nevada's, camping all over the west and white water rafting the numerous rivers in Idaho. My daughter's wedding on the coast north of Boston was a highlight and my trips to Alaska while doing consulting work were as well.

  3. Travel a little more and see more of the world.

  4. I currently have my own contracting business in Boise, ID. My favorite hobbies are golfing, fishing and enjoying the wildlife in Eastern Idaho around the Henry's Lake area where spend a lot of time at our cabin. We are just about to go to Hawaii to see our last daughter on the beaches of Kawaii. Her reception here in Boise is the same weekend as the reunion. I hope to see some of you golfing on Friday.

  5. See #2 above.

  1. I remember thinking how much I was missing by going to school in a little backwater town called Filer. Couldn't wait to leave. It didn't take to many years of living other places to realize Filer wasn't so bad. Guess that's why I moved back hear 30 years ago and stayed. I remember that the cheerleaders were really short(except for Fred). Who could ever forget Mr. Glassinger, one in a million. I remember snipe hunts (Pat do you remember), working on old cars, and trying to figure out if a six cylinder Chevy would out run a flat head Ford.

  2. I guess my favorite times of the last 40 years have been people and places. Been to a lot of places, still do a lot of traveling in my job. Go camping as much as possible. My wife Doris, of 29 years is an outdoor person and enjoys the mountains as much as I do.

  3. One thing left to do I guess is the American dream. Retire rich, don't think its going to happen.

  4. My present occupation is a national logistics transportation freight expediter. ( Fancy term for Independent trucker)

  5. Do I have kids, nope, somebody told me kid can't have kids, and I'm still a kid a heart.

  1. Filer High School holds many good memories even though some of us got caught ditching school, forgoing a note to get out of typing class and often in trouble for talking to friends during class. Mrs. Gaumer was the most influential teacher for me as she attempted to educate & prepare us for life after FHS. I have great memories of choir, school plays, drill team, pep club and the "BEST" friends anyone could ever find.

  2. The past 40 years has been a journey filled with challenges and laughter. These experiences along the way truly define our character and we do get better with age (like a good bottle of wine.) The birth of my son, Jeremy, gets top billing for the past 40 years. Finding that "special" person in your life, my husband Jim, and sharing wonderful times with family, friends and traveling. Life is good!

  3. Traveling more would be a high priority. Also, want to trace my families genealogy. It would be fun to learn who you are related to in centuries gone by and possibly uncover hidden secrets on the family tree.

  4. Employed by Utah Transit Authority (public transportation services) in Salt Lake City for past 26 years. Currently the Eligibility Administrator for our Paratransit Service. We interact with individuals who have varying levels of disabilities which makes one grateful for the things we can easily take for granted (seeing, speaking, walking, hearing, etc.). I like the quote by actor Robert Urich, "We can't always control what happens to us, but we can always control how we react to it." I enjoy gardening, arts & crafts, traveling, hunting for antiques & reading. After retirement, hope to do much more of each.

  5. One son, Jeremy, 24. No grandchildren but look forward to having several to spoil.

  1. What I remember most about years at Filer High is taking History and Government my junior year with Mr. Moran, two of my favorite classes. Drill team, chorus, football and basketball games. Skipping school to go to Shoshone Falls with Bess and Janis, then returning to school that same afternoon to get our books. (Dah!) Walking to my first dance with my date because we couldn’t drive. Working at the Town and Country Drive-In as a carhop for .75 cents and hour. Never having Mr. Glassinger as a teacher. I am the only one? I think I missed out on something special.

  2. The last 40 years my husband and I (and sometimes our children) have had many opportunities to travel. We spent seven days in Spain viewing the countryside and exploring the castles. We enjoyed Mexico, catching sailfish in Acapulco, and parasailing in Matazalan. In the Bahamas, we had fun sailing around the bay and diving for seashells. We enjoyed white water rafting in Alaska, and seeing the magnificent wildlife. We took an awesome trip to Lake Louise and Banff National Park. At Harrison Lake, B.C. Canada, we viewed the sights from a helicopter. During our dozens of trips to the windy city of Chicago we attended plays, musical performances and visited museums. We have visited many of the islands of Hawaii, where we’ve enjoyed sun, surf and scuba diving for conch shells.

  3. The one thing I have yet to do is visit New York and see as many Broadway plays as possible.

  4. For the last 8 years I have worked as a retail sales associate at “Baby Gap.” I enjoy spending time with my Grandchildren. We enjoy spending time at the Oregon Coast. My hobbies include reading, the performing arts, doll collecting, fishing and traveling. We are actively engaged in church service and activities. My husband is retired and spends his time working our genealogy and family history. He also enjoys hunting and fishing.

  5. My husband and I have 3 daughters. Angela and Knol Simnitt live near us in Tigard, OR. They have three sons Elijah, 10, Samuel, 8 and Malachi, 4. Tavia and Scott McBride live in Spring, Texas. They have two daughters, Alex, 3 1/2, and Rylie, 2 1/2. We look forward to their visits twice a year for 3 weeks at a time. Sheron and Jeff Riggs also live close by in Hillsboro, OR. They have one son Jadon, 5. I also have 2 stepdaughters, and 2 stepsons, who have provided us 7 more grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
