- First I guess there would be the teachers, Mrs.Gaumer, Mr. Glassinger, Mr. & Mrs. Moran and all the many others. Some I liked and others, well? With time or hind-site I can understand the value of their methods and ways of trying to teach and guide young people, who are living for the moment and the hormones are raging. I liked the scholastic side of school. Although I was only average, with the help of those teachers, I have an intense drive to continue to learn and acquire knowledge. I think my fondest memories are of Mr. Farris and band (twirling). The trips- the concerts-the half times-the opening night of the Twin Falls County Fair and Rodeo. It was lots of practice and work and all fun. I remember the talent show that was planned with a western saloon as the back drop. This was canceled the day of dress rehearsal by a group of teachers who thought it was offensive and degrading. (my how times have changed). There was decorating for the prom. Janice Bennet/Krepic & I being left behind, at the museum in Boise, after the government class went to visit a session at the Capitol Building. The overnight Band Tour with Mr. Farris's ghost stories, is a fun memory. With embarrassment still, I remember sitting in the bleachers at a football game and the football comes flying from the field and smacked me in the face. (WOW, I wasn't watching the ball.) I have a deep appreciation for having gone to a small school. It is a good feeling to be able to know all the members of my class and most of their brothers and sisters. It took all of us to make programs work. All of us helping one another. And last of all I would like to say a special THANK YOU to Mr. Moran for not being to hard on me for sitting and reading anything but a history book in class. HOWEVER, he got something through as History and all aspects of it is of great interest to me these many years.
- Raising my children was the best/worst (ya know what I mean) I have lived life with an attitude of not shutting things out. So there has been many experiences, some awe inspiring, some just plain fun and those that left quiet contemplation. One very memorable evening took place at the Pyuallup Fair Grounds at a concert "A night in the 50's" and the emcee was FABIAN. At one point some of us in the audience were on the stage doing the twist, when the music stopped I turned around very quickly to leave the the stage....WELL....Fabian was standing in the path of my retreat and I was about to mow him down....so I lightly put my hands on his shoulders to stop myself, kissed him lightly on the cheek....whispered an apology....and dashed from the stage.
- Take tap dance lessons
- I continue to work as a Hairdresser. I never tire of my work but some days I am tired of working. As some of you are aware I love to dance. I still belly dance, at this time it is mostly an exercise program and it keeps me flexible. The gym is just to boring for me. My husband and I are very involved in square dancing and round dancing. We dance up to 4 nights a week. If any one else is involved in square dancing let me know, maybe we can join you in a square some where. I have done some modeling, ridden motorcycles, played softball (big mariner fan) love camping, taken a couple of cruises, down hill ski, golf, done a lot of sewing and makeup for little theater, sewing however is my biggest lifetime hobby. I make all our dancing outfits, sew clothes and costumes for the grand kids, besides knitting, Quilting and embroidery. I have collected antiques since I was 13 yrs. old so these days I just browse.
- I have three children and six grandchildren: Kurt G. Egbert, 39,+ Shellie Ann, 16, & Christopher D., 13, and Deborah Lynne, 34, + Arron Scott, 13, Ashley Nicole, 11, & Shelby Lynn, 10, and Julie Rene, 32, + Alexa Rae, 7.

- I remember cooking in the cafeteria with my mother who was a school cook; getting locked inside school lockers several times by the seniors, when I was a sophomore. Mrs. Buchanan would hear me pounding on the locker door and go get Mr. Herd, the janitor, to cut the lock. I remember working in Mr. Wilson’s office (the Jr. High Principal), and also remember Mr. Farris, Mr. Glassinger’s Algebra class, and Mr. Cox’s Biology class when Norman Lohr brought in a 2 headed animal for us to observe.
- Snowmobiling, water skiing, and enjoying my son.
- Get my health back, relax, and not have to work.

- Two people come to mind: Mr. Glassinger for being an outstanding math teacher, yet having the ability to allow us to have fun in class. They don't make them like him anymore. Gary Albin (a.k.a. Beasty). How could you not love him? He was, and I'm sure still is, always up to something. He created so much fun and laughter and on occasion found himself in deep s---!!!
- Dick (my husband) and I have had many wonderful experiences, among them: (1) Being guests of Pat and Charlie Wright after they picked us up in Washington D.C. They were our tour directors, which included a trip to the Naval Academy in Annapolis. (2) Waiting on North Island, San Diego, as my brother, a Lieutenant Commander, arrived home on the U. S. Nimitz. We were able to tour the ship, ending up on the flight deck. (3) Taking numerous Princess Cruises and Caribbean vacations. (4) Finally catching Roosterfish, which I had wanted to catch for many years. And, large Roosterfish (35-40 pounds).

- I remember good old Filer High with many fond memories like the day a bunch of us decided to sluff school and go to Twin for some fun. We had a great time until we got back that afternoon and found out that half the school had also decided to sluff that day - hence we all got caught. That was one of the drawbacks to attending a small high school, however, I'm very glad I attended a school small enough to know all the teachers as well as every student in the school. …. I also loved that we were able to be involved in as many activities as we wanted - choir, drill team, sports, yearbook, school newspaper or whatever. You had a little different exposure in each activity and became better acquainted with different students. In the high schools where we live, you choose one activity, go through extensive try outs and if you make it, that is your one concentration. Each activity is too time-consuming and too demanding to be involved in more than one. I would have missed out on a lot of good, worthwhile experiences had I been limited to just one. …. Over the years I've also learned to appreciate the high school teachers we had. Mrs. Gaumer's English class has probably been the most beneficial to me. I never pick up a Readers Digest without thinking of the spelling words we used to have to study from there.
- Highlights of the last 40 years were graduating from BYU, marrying my husband and being a mother. We've attended and filmed a lot of ball games, band competitions and track meets for our children over the years and we've loved every minute of it.
- I hope to stay healthy enough to really enjoy those golden retirement years.
- I work as the Geology Department Secretary at Brigham Young University. I consider myself very fortunate to have been a stay-at-home mom while my children were growing up. When my youngest child went to First Grade, I began working part-time in the Geology Department and when he graduated from high school, I went to work full-time. My husband also works for BYU as the Director of Payroll so we go to work together, eat lunch together and go home together. It is great! For hobbies I love to cook, play the piano and am working on scrap booking and writing family histories.
- We have seven children - two girls and five boys. The oldest is 35 and has five children of his own and the youngest is twenty-two and just got married. All of our children are married except one and all of them but one live within 60 miles of our home so we see them often. We have nine grandchildren (four girls and five boys) with two more due by the end of the year. Our oldest grandson is 11 years old, so our grandchildren are pretty young and adorable still. Watching my children and grandchildren grow and develop has been a wonderfully awesome experience.
